After reading Konnikova’s essay the components that interested me the most was when Konnikova talks about humans lacking the social needs if they stick to just online interactions. I am very interested that the brain will change so much by just using social media and sticking to only online interactions to the point where humans could struggle with face to face conversations and lack the experience to ever have a in-person conversation. As Konnikova tells about the fear of humans losing that social aspect she says “We aren’t born with full social awareness, and Dunbar fears that too much virtual interaction may subvert that education (Konnikova 4).” In that quote she is basically saying that humans are going down a path on social media that could end up making them be less interactive in the real world and could lose all there social skills in real life.
